Drs Melva Croes-Yánez
Oral Presentation - To report or not to report: That’s the challenge
Drs. Melva Croes-Yánez is a licensed psychologist with over 25 years of experience in the field of Clinical Neuropsychology (all ages) in Aruba and the Caribbean.
In 1990 she earned her doctoral degree in Neuropsychology at the Tilburg University (the Netherlands) and is owner of the Neuropsychological Ambulatory Aruba (N.A.A.), a private practice in Aruba.
During her training in clinical neuropsychology, she was mentored by the late Prof. Dr. Harry van der Vlugt, a prominent researcher and pioneer on Lateralization of Brain Functions. As colleague and mentor Dr. van der Vlugt, was also instrumental in the development of neuropsychology in the Dutch West Indies and in providing second opinion on neuropsychological differential diagnostics.
Drs. Croes-Yánez is also member of International Neuropsychological Society (INS) where she is listed in the Cross-Cultural Referrals Database of the International Liaison Committee of INS for the Dutch Caribbean.
She is founder (2003) and president of Fundacion Alzheimer Aruba (F.A.A.), the Alzheimer’s foundation in Aruba, which is associated with Alzheimer Disease International (ADI) and Alzheimer Ibero-América (AIB).
